BMWs are fantastic driver oriented cars that easily adapt to the track and are rear-wheel drive for a more satisfying driving experience on the track. Granted the Mini with its short wheelbase would be a challenge but is still front-wheel drive. Finally, given the fact you have a small child; my opinion is a second 4- door is a better choice.
